More cloud cover expected Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia will see partly cloudy skies and slightly lower highs Thursday afternoon.
This Evening
Skies will remain mostly clear around the region heading into tonight as temperatures stay in the 80s through sunset. A cooler night is expected as lows drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s for most of the region. Winds will be gentle out of the north at around 5 mph. Scattered clouds will begin to fill in after midnight.
Tomorrow
Partly cloudy skies are likely throughout the day on Thursday with a slim chance for a shower or perhaps a small thunderstorm. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s, or a few degrees cooler than Wednesday afternoon. Also, winds will shift more towards the west-northwest at 1-10 mph.
Overnight clouds will remain scattered as temperatures largely dip into the mid to upper 50s around the region. Winds will come from the north-northwest at around 5 mph.
Friday and The Weekend
Sunnier conditions will return Friday as highs reach into the mid to upper 80s again, likely a degree or two warmer than Thursday afternoon. More clouds are anticipated over the weekend, however rain odds will not be super high to accompany them. A few isolated storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This pattern will carry into next week.
