Monroe County school bus, car collision sends drivers to Macon hospital

No students on board as school bus and car collide on Hwy 83 N and Old Cabiness Road in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The drivers of a school bus and a personal vehicle are being treated at a Macon hospital after a crash Friday afternoon.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded to a crash involving a Monroe County school bus just after 4:30 p.m. on Hwy 83 N and Old Cabiness Road.

Deputies say a car lost control around a curve and collided with the school bus, which tried to move out of the way, the release stated.

Deputies say there were no students on board the bus at the time of the crash.
