More sunshine expected Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Skies will be more clear Thursday following a weak cold front Wednesday evening/overnight.
The Rest of the Evening
Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be likely early tonight before some clearing occurs after midnight, especially over the northern half of the region. A small shower or two will be possible through the evening, however overall rain odds are very low. Temperatures will bottom out in the 50s around Middle Georgia leading into Thursday morning. Ambient wind will generally be out of the northwest tonight around 5 mph.
Tomorrow
A few clouds will linger early over the southern half of the region, however these will clear during the late morning. Highs will mainly reach the lower 80s around the region in the afternoon as wind generally comes from the northeast at around 5 mph.
Scattered clouds will likely begin to fill in during the evening hours as a warm front nearby shifts the winds back towards the south. This could also lead to a couple of small showers overnight and into Friday morning. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s to begin Friday morning.
Friday and the Weekend
Friday and Saturday will both be mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 80s and a chance for a couple of showers. A bit less cloud cover is likely Sunday with more clearing expected heading into Monday. Temperatures next week will climb back into the upper 80s/potentially lower 90s again.
