UPDATE: Authorities say search for Dawson Brandon Lee has ended

The search for 24-year-old Dawson Brandon Lee, whose disappearance last week prompted a multi-agency search, has concluded, according to authorities.

UPDATE (4/24/24):  The search for 24-year-old Dawson Brandon Lee, whose disappearance last week prompted a multi-agency search, has concluded, according to authorities.

Lee was reported missing last week, and his vehicle was later found abandoned near Cooter Creek Road and Lincolnton Highway in Elbert County. Initial law enforcement reports said he was presumed to be on foot in the area.

“The investigation in the search for Dawson Lee has concluded in the Elbert County area,” an update on the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page stated on Wednesday. “We are offering our condolences and ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.”

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is continuing the ongoing investigation, according to a separate Facebook update from Elbert County Emergency Services.

“We would like to thank all of our supporters who shared information, took part in the search, and forwarded our post in an effort to locate him,” the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office post stated. “We also thank all of the responding agencies who took part in this investigation.

We’ve reached out to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for additional information.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for Dawson Brandon Lee, a 24-year-old who was reported missing from Baldwin County on Wednesday.

According to a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post on Friday, his vehicle was found in Elbert County in the area of Cooter Creek Road and Lincolnton Highway.

“He is presumed to be on foot in that area and local authorities are actively searching,” the post stated. “However, until such time he is located or other information becomes available as to his whereabouts, we are asking our followers to share the information and contact local authorities or 911 if you have information to assist in locating him.”

Lee is about 5’11 and weighs about 130 pounds, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office He has brown, bushy hair and a scruffy beard and was last seen wearing glasses, a t-shirt and dark-colored gym shorts.
