Rain odds climb a bit Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WGMT) – A couple of spotty showers will be possible Wednesday to accompany the added cloud cover.
The Rest of the Evening
Partly to mostly cloudy skies will remain with Middle Georgia this evening as temperatures hang in the 70s. Winds will remain gentle out of the south-southwest around 5 mph, and with low temperatures in the lower 60s and dew points climbing into the upper 50s/lower 60s, some fog will be possible overnight. An overnight shower is unlikely, but cannot 100% be ruled out.
Tomorrow
It will be a hot and partly cloudy day as highs reach the mid to upper 80s around Middle Georgia. Winds will remain out of the south-southwest at about 5-10 mph, gusting as high as 17 mph. A couple of spotty showers will be possible, especially in the afternoon, however most of the region will stay dry. The UV Index is expected to be around 7-8 around the region, so Middle Georgians spending time out in the heat should wear sunblock, even if there is decent cloud cover.
Overnight skies will remain mostly cloudy with a couple of showers possible. Once again, most of the region will stay dry. Low temperatures will dip into the low to mid 60s as wind comes more from the west at around 5 mph.
Thursday and Beyond
A bit more sun is likely Thursday and Friday that will lead to highs in the upper 80s and potentially upper 90s. Records will likely just be out of reach, however. Rain odds will remain isolated into the weekend before becoming more widespread Sunday.
