Macon’s Rhythm and Rally Sports and Events Pickleball Complex is thriving
"We've had 200 first-time visitors on average per week, since we've opened on January 1," General Manager John Roberts said. "Our membership has grown to 361 members to date."

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Pop, pop and cheer.
Those are the likely sounds you’ll hear at Rhythm & Rally Sports & Events. The facility, located in Macon Mall, has drawn on average hundreds of visitors per week.
“We’ve had 200 first-time visitors on average per week, since we’ve opened on January 1,” General Manager John Roberts said. “Our membership has grown to 361 members to date.”
Roberts says these member figures have exceeded expectations.
“To see the community support immediately and as sustained as it has been in the last three months that we have been open, it has been tremendously gratifying for me and I think for city leaders,” he said.
Linda Sosebee, a member of Rhythm and Rally, shared her appreciation for the complex.
“I love that the courts are clean,” she said. “I love the court surface. There are so many, so there’s rarely a time when you don’t get an opportunity to play.”
The facility has already hosted several tournaments, which have provided a big economic boost for Macon.
“Hopefully, this will be the rocket fuel for the revitalization for the Eisenhower area and improvements for the district while continuing to reconnect the corridor to downtown,” Roberts said.
Roberts says is only the beginning for Rhythm and Rally.
He also believes that due to growing membership numbers and future Pickleball tournaments, we will be hearing a lot more of balls hitting paddles and cheering for a very long time to come.
