Easter weekend to be filled with sunshine and heat

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Ample sunshine will stay with Middle Georgia throughout the weekend as temperatures soar above average.
Saturday:
Low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40s rolling into Saturday morning.
Scattered clouds will likely be present as the sun rises, but they should clear out by lunchtime. Highs will mainly reach the upper 70s around Middle Georgia with wind coming from the southwest at 7-13 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph. The UV Index tomorrow is a 7, so Middle Georgians enjoying the warm and sunny weather should apply sunscreen if outdoors for ample amounts of time.
Overnight a few clouds will likely move in, but it should remain mostly clear. Temperatures will bottom out in the upper 40s and lower 50s around the region as winds come from the southwest around 5-10 mph.
Easter and Beyond:
Sunday will see partly sunny skies and highs largely in the lower 80s around the region. Wind will continue to come from the southwest. A UV Index between 7 and 8 is expected, so 15-20 minutes without sunscreen and the average person will begin to burn.
Clouds will roll in more overnight as things get more muggy to begin the first week of April. Lows will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s ahead of Monday morning. The next rain chance will arrive Tuesday evening.
