MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — United Community Church in Macon invites you to experience the powerful Easter narrative through its annual play “He Touched Me.”

The play, which brings to life the story of Jesus Christ’s last days on earth, is set to be performed on Good Friday, March 29, Easter Sunday, March 31, and the following Sunday, April 7, all at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is free. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Although tickets are not required, a love offering will be accepted. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seats.

“He Touched Me” originates from a divine inspiration received by Joe and Wilma Andrews during their visit to the Holy Land in 1970. “He gave them a mission – to bring Israel to America and tell His story in His own setting,” the church states on its website. “The play was to be presented only once, but the Holy Spirit sent more than the church could hold. 50 years later, His story is still touching lives and saving souls.”

Audience members will witness depictions of events from the Last Supper to the Garden of Gethsemane, leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The church says the play might not be suitable for infants due to its intensity and length.

United Community Church is located at 2411 Heath Road in Macon.
