“We are extremely proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our AP students and their teachers at each of our high schools,” Superintendent Dr. Mark Scott said. “The course work for AP classes is challenging and rigorous; however, it allows our students a glimpse into what colleges expect. It also helps them understand how to study, manage their time, and how they can begin preparing for college.”
The district says AP exams are administered by the College Board, which also administers the SAT. AP courses are one of several ways Georgia students can access college-level learning at the high school level; students who receive a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam may receive college credit.
