Cold front will move through today bringing showers with it
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Good morning to you all!! We are starting off pretty warm this morning in the low 60s. This morning we are also seeing lots of clouds that is the reason why we are so warm. Today we will continue to be warm across the area reaching temperatures in the the upper 70s to low 80s. The winds will really be kicking it this afternoon with gusts from 30-35 mph. There is a wind advisory for all of middle Georgia until 12am. This afternoon a cold front will begin to move quickly across middle Georgia. Rain is possible between the hours of 2pm and 7pm. Not much rainfall is expected for today. Overnight we will feel the effects of the cold front. Temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler than we were this morning. Definitely going to need the jacket as you head out tomorrow. Skies will be mostly cloudy Thursday with highs largely reaching the lower 60s around the area. Friday will be overcast with scattered rain chances, especially in the late afternoon hours. It will be cool too with highs only into the upper 50s and lower 60s even colder during a shower. Rain will remain possible through the weekend and into next week with cloud coverage.
