Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024 to be inducted Saturday in Macon

The annual FanFest will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, featuring an autograph session at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. FanFest is open to the public and free of charge.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 Induction Weekend is underway.

This year’s class received their Hall of Fame jackets during a ceremony Friday night at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in downtown Macon.

The 2024 class is comprised of basketball star Shareef Abdur-Rahim, football star Eric Berry, multi-sport athlete Cris Carpenter, football star Thomas Davis, Sr., UGA sports communications director Claude Felton, football coach Paul Johnson, baseball star Brian McCann and tennis star Wendy White-Prausa.

“We invite all the fans to come out and see the Hall of Famers, get autographs, get pictures made with them, and then of course the big event, the induction ceremony on Saturday night,” Friday night’s emcee and host of The Bill Shanks Show Bill Shanks said.

The weekend of events concludes with the 68th annual Induction Ceremony at Macon City Auditorium at 5:30. John Smoltz will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Buy tickets here.
