Partly sunny skies expected Tuesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Scattered clouds are likely Tuesday over the northern half of the region along with slim odds for a small shower.
The Rest of the Evening
Clouds from earlier around Middle Georgia have cleared, and skies will stay that way through this evening and most of tonight. Temperatures will plummet to around the freezing point ahead of Tuesday morning. Winds will be light and variable.
Tomorrow
While a healthy dose of sun is expected for most of Middle Georgia, scattered clouds will be likely in the afternoon, especially over the northern half of the region. The northernmost counties will have a very slim chance for a stray shower, but odds are most of if not all of the region will stay dry. Winds will remain light and variable throughout the afternoon as temperatures climb into the low to mid 60s.
Skies should be clear by tomorrow night as things remain rather calm. Temperatures will dip into the low to mid 30s ahead of Wednesday morning.
Wednesday and Beyond
Wednesday will be a sunny day as well with wind remaining rather calm as it shifts towards the south. This will lead to more heat and moisture later in the week with a cold front arriving Thursday night. That front will bring some rain overnight Thursday and the first half of Friday. The sunshine actually looks like it will stick around for a weekend this time around.
