Monroe County man faces multiple drug charges after Friday arrest

Monroe County deputies say James Eric Rogers faces multiple charges after being arrested on Friday.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is now in custody, facing several drug charges after being arrested on Friday.

A Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release says deputies arrived at a home in the Indian Springs Drive area and saw James Eric Rogers outside. As deputies exited their vehicles, they say Rogers tried to run, but he was taken into custody.

Deputies say Rogers was trying to destroy narcotics he had in his possession.

He’s now charged with possession of ecstasy, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of synthetic marijuana.

He’s being held without bond.
