Woman forced to give birth in jail cell alone, lawsuit says
Diana Sanchez was begging for help for hours as she went into labor inside a Denver jail cell, her attorney says, and was ultimately forced to give birth alone, with the ordeal captured on surveillance cameras. The Denver Sheriff Department said in a statement that she was held in a medical unit and have since changed their policy to make sure inmates in labor are immediately taken to the hospital.
