Skies clearing tonight, sun returns tomorrow

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Colder and drier conditions will be back around the Peach State as the system from this weekend moves away.
The Rest of the Evening
Cloud cover will slowly clear through the evening and tonight. Shower activity (along with misting) should also subside this evening. Winds will remain breezy overnight from the north at about 5-12 mph, gusting over 15 mph. Temperatures will fall into the mid 30s for most of the region.
Tomorrow
It will be a sunny and breezy day around the region with winds from the north-northeast ranging from 10-15 mph, gusting over 20 mph. Highs will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s during the afternoon.
Nighttime winds will be calmer as they remain out of the north-northeast. Temperatures will fall around the freezing point heading into Wednesday as skies overhead remain clear.
Wednesday and Beyond
Cloud cover will increase a little bit each day as the rest of the week progresses with warmer temperatures expected each day after Wednesday. Mostly cloudy skies are likely by Friday with another round of rain on deck for the weekend.
