Sunny Groundhog day afternoon ahead

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Good morning to you all happy Friday and Groundhog Day! Will the ole groundhog up in Jackson, Ga see his shadow? Who knows if he will or not, however it won’t change the thinking in our AccuWeather forecasts. Anyway we start of the morning in the upper 30s to low 40s with cloud coverage across the entire viewing area. This cloud coverage will break up through the morning hours to give us plenty of sunshine this afternoon. This afternoon is gonna be a great day for any outdoor plans with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s!

This will continue for your Saturday with temperatures expected to be in the mid 60s. On Sunday a few showers are possible across the area with temperatures in the low 50s. Rain will last into Monday afternoon with temperatures in the 50s. Rain totals look to be just above a inch as of now. Temperatures will continue in the upper 50s low 60s next week. The first half of February looks to be very warm and above average. This could change as we head towards the middle of February to end of the month. Have a great day!!
