Deputies: 2 arrested in Macon warehouse break-in; 1 armed, another found in sewer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men are now in custody in connection with a warehouse break-in on Tuesday.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release says a call came in to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center just after 9 a.m. about two men breaking into California Cereal Products’ warehouse on Mead Road.

Deputies say they responded and tracked footprints to one of the suspects, who was armed with a handgun. The second suspect was found hiding inside a sewer.

37-year-old Joseph Seth Sheriff and 56-year-old Johnny Frank Larson are now in the Bibb County Jail. Prior to being taken to jail, Larson was treated at Atrium Health Navicent.

Sheriff is charged with first degree burglary, possession of tools for commission of a crime, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation. Deputies say he was also wanted in Houston County.

Larson is charged with second degree burglary and possession of tools for commission of a crime.

Both were denied bond.
