Mid 70’s today with the chance of showers and thunderstorms
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Good morning to you all!! This morning we have started out with temperatures low to mid 60s. Showers are currently to the northwest of our area and will continue to move through as the day progresses. Today we have a 60 percent chance of rain with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s this afternoon. This will be the warmest day we have had all year. Warm weather will be case for Friday as well, however temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s. Rain chances will be at 60 percent for Friday. We will see showers and thunderstorms once again on Saturday with temperatures in the 70s. There is marginal risk to see a strong to severe storm on Saturday. Rain chance decrease on Sunday to 20 percent mainly before 5am. The temperatures will decrease as well into the 60s still not so bad. Rainfall over the next 7 days is anywhere from 1 to 3 inches across the area with locally higher and lower amounts possible. Temperatures will cool to average as we head into next week. Warmer weather is expected to start the first full week of February.
