FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two people in connection to an animal cruelty case.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home on Bar None Road on Sunday, in reference to an animal compliant involving a deceased dog, several malnourished dogs and a deceased pet snake, which had appeared to have been eaten by one of the animals.

Deputies say they found the home in horrible, unlivable conditions, as animal feces and urine covered a large portion of the floor. They found one medium sized mixed breed dog that appeared as if it had not eaten in several weeks and one deceased mixed breed dog in a kennel behind the home.
Two more small breed dogs and a cat were also found. They were heavily emaciated with matted fur, large amounts of fecal matter stuck in their unkempt hair and smelling of urine.
