Very cold today

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Folks it’s extremely cold outside this morning with temperatures ranging from 16-22 degrees. There is also wind chills in the single digits in our northern counties. You need to layer up as you head out the door this morning and continue to have the coat this afternoon. Today we warm up to the mid 40s with winds out of the NW at 5-10 mph. This will make it feel a lot colder outside today. Thursday morning we will continue to see temperatures very cold across Middle Georgia. Thursday night we will see a 50 percent chance of rain lasting until 5am. On Friday we are into the 50s again with most of the area in the middle 50s. This weekend brings another cold front with lows in the 10s with highs in the 40s. Next week temperatures will gradually warm up into the 60s. We will end January with above average temperatures.
