Cloud cover will continue to fill in over Middle Georgia, especially once the sun sets. Temperatures will steadily drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s tonight. Winds will largely come from the west-northwest at about 5-12 mph. Gusts could push upwards of 20 mph. Rain likely will not move in until well after midnight, but showers will likely be ongoing during the sunrise tomorrow morning.

The first 3rd of the day or so will see scattered cold rain showers around the region, especially the southern counties. Winter weather is highly unlikely, but perhaps Monroe/Lamar/Butts Counties will see a bit of a mix. Temperatures will only reach into the mid to upper 40s tomorrow afternoon (southern counties may crack 50) with winds coming from the north-northwest at about 10-15 mph. Gusts could push over 28 mph. Cloud cover will work to clear out over the back half of the day.

The coldest night of the year so far is on deck for tomorrow night. Temperatures will valley in the upper teens and lower 20s, warranting a faucet drip from Middle Georgians wanting to avoid any potential piping headaches. Winds will only make things feel colder as they come from the northwest at 10-15 mph, gusting to over 20 mph. This could lead to wind chills in the low teens/upper single digits.

Wednesday and Beyond

Wednesday will be a chilly but sunny day with high temperatures likely to climb only into the mid to upper 40s. It will luckily not be as breezy. Sunshine will carry into Thursday before clouds return overnight with a chance for a few cold showers. Another blast of cold air is likely heading into/over the weekend.
