UPDATE: Victim identified in Friday night crash on Kitchens Street

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that left one person dead.

UPDATE (1/13) – Bibb County deputies identified the man killed in a crash on Friday as Chance Northcutt of Macon.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that left one person dead.

It happened just before 6 p.m. on Kitchens Street, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release. A driver was traveling northbound on Kitchens Street toward Shurling Drive in an older model Ford F-150 pickup truck when the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree. The driver, identified as a 45-year-old man from Macon, was ejected. Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley pronounced him dead on the scene.

No one else was involved.

The crash is under investigation. The sheriff’s office says information could change as the investigation progresses.
