UPDATE: Man identified in deadly Perry crash

According to Houston County Coroner James Williams, it happened around 4 p.m. on Sandefur Road near Angel Oak Pass. He says the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Perry on Friday.

According to Houston County Coroner James Williams, it happened around 4 p.m. on Sandefur Road near Angel Oak Pass. He says the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment.

The driver, 64-year-old Phillip Ramsey from Kathleen, was taken to Houston Healthcare in Perry and was pronounced dead there.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
