MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men were arrested in Monroe County after deputies say a stolen property investigation led to the discovery of methamphetamine, a stolen ATV and a U-Haul trailer.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies initially responded to a theft report at a McMullen Road home, where a drainpipe and gate were reported stolen.

The investigation directed them to a property on Boxankle Road. There, deputies, assisted by investigators, say they located the pipe installed at a residence. A thorough search also uncovered the stolen ATV (out of Bibb County), the U-Haul trailer, and 32 grams of methamphetamine.

Will Amerson faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, theft by taking, two counts of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of drug-related objects. Thomas Faulkner was charged with misdemeanor theft by taking.

Both men are being held in the Monroe County Jail without bond.
