Daytona International Speedway Considers Adding Burial Urns for Diehard Fans
Florida senators voted down a proposal Tuesday that could’ve allowed some NASCAR fans to spend eternity at the Daytona International Speedway.
Florida lawmakers considered a proposal that would allow speedway officials to build a speedway columbarium, a facility that would store ashes in urns.
Dozens of fans said they thought the idea was a great idea, while maybe not for their own afterlife.
“I think this would be great. You’d be here for a lifetime,” one fan said.
