66-year-old man in critical condition after shooting on Lavetta Drive in Macon

Deputies say a 66-year-old man was found shot on Lavetta Drive late Saturday night. He remains in critical condition as investigators continue their work.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault after a man was shot on Lavetta Drive late Saturday night.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies responded to the 1100 block of Lavetta Drive just before 10:25 p.m. after reports of a person shot. When they got there, deputies found a 66-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital. He’s listed in critical condition,

The sheriff’s office said the shooting remains under investigation.
