A 63-year-old man died after a shed caught fire on the 4000 block of Worsham Avenue early Friday, according to fire officials.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 63-year-old man died after a shed caught fire on the 4000 block of Worsham Avenue early Friday, according to fire officials.

A Macon-Bibb Fire Department spokesperson told 41NBC the victim, identified as Joe Turner, had been living in the shed with the homeowner’s permission when the fire broke out.

As of now, the fire is still under investigation but the spokesperson says it appears to be accidental.
