5 Middle Georgia athletes heading to college

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After successful athletic careers, five middle Georgia athletes are going to college.

Houston County baseball players Austin Hittinger, Cole Simmons and Austin Langford will all play the sport at the next level after winning a state championship this season. Hittinger will play at Georgia College in Milledgeville. Simmons and Langford will play together at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.

Haley Holloway, a three-sport athlete at Dodge County, signed this week as well. She’ll play softball for Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida.

Baldwin High School’s Zykeria Williams is heading north. She signed her national letter of intent to join the track team at the University of Indiana.
