Woman found dead after Warner Robins home catches fire, arson suspected

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins police are investigating a possible arson case that left one woman dead.

According to the Warner Robins Police Department, officers and Warner Robins firefighters responded to a house fire at 343 Clairmont Drive just after 1:00 Sunday morning. The fire department was able to extinguish the blaze, but a 57 year old woman was found dead inside.

The fire department’s investigation suggests the cause of the fire is arson.

Police say they are in contact with the person of interest.

An autopsy will be performed on the woman found inside the home.
