Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit by car in Warner Robins

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Warner Robins Tuesday at around 11:23 p.m.

Warner Robins Police officer responded to a call in the area of 2706 Watson Blvd. regarding a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Officers 53-year-old Roy Long was pushing a shopping cart along the side of the eastbound lane on Watson. A second pedestrian, 30-year-old Frederick Alicea was walking in the gutter.

Authorities say a 2009 Toyota Camry — driven by 39-year-old Perez Efford was travelling east on Watson when he struck Long causing serious injuries.

EMS took Long to Navicent Macon for treatment to his injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Warner Robins PD Traffic Division and no charges have been filed.
