Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested and fired for domestic incident

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputy has been arrested and fired from the Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, Demetrius Green was arrested on Friday, July 10th and charged with simple battery under the Family Violence Act. Deputies responded to a domestic call involving Green and and his wife that day.

Laurens County Sheriff, Larry Dean, fired Green the same day. Green was employed by the Sheriff’s Office for 5 years.
