Medical Monday: How you can check on your heart health in Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – According to the National Institutes of Health, February is American Heart Month. It’s a way to raise awareness about heart health and urge those around you to prevent heart disease.

Rosa Smith, a nurse at Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon, visited Daybreak to tell us how and where to check on your heart health in Middle Georgia.

Medical Center Navicent Health is hosting a “Save Your Heart” Health Fair this weekend. There are several free screenings and angioscreenings for $50.

The health fair is Saturday, February 1st from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. It’s at Central Georgia Technical College, building H in Macon.
