33-year-old man hospitalized after Tuesday night shooting in Fort Valley
Fort Valley police are investigating a shooting that injured a 33-year-old man Tuesday night on Spruce Street.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Fort Valley police are investigating a shooting that injured a 33-year-old man Tuesday night on Spruce Street.
According to Fort Valley Police Chief DJ Flores, officers responded to the 100 block of Spruce Street around 5 p.m. after receiving reports of a gunshot.
When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man had been shot in the lower extremities. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon for treatment and is in stable condition, Flores said.
The department’s criminal investigation section responded to the scene and has identified a male suspect in connection with the case. Investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
