Bibb County Tax Commissioner office opens with improved services

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia’s Department of Revenue has added a new state-of-the-art system upgrade for its vehicle registration and other services.

The Bibb County Tax Commissioner’s office is now reopened. The upgrades are expected to allow more self-service options, improve customer service, and enhance data system statewide.

It’s also going to offer customers more online options for the following item:

  • Title registration
  • Lookup
  • Plate Selections
  • Online tag renewal notifications

Bibb County Tax Commissioner Wade McCord says it means nothing at the county level, only a change in how they do business.

“Hopefully taxpayers shouldn’t see a difference. Maybe a new look to their receipt and their decals,” McCord said.

The upcoming installment is part one of two-phase system implementation with the second phase scheduled to happen in January 2021.
