Sheriff’s Office Looking For Inmate That Escaped During Work Detail

MACON, Ga – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an inmate that escaped from the County’s Detention Center during his work detail.

Deputies say 22 year old Jaylon Patrick was working off his community service hours at the Sheriff’s Office car wash Saturday evening. Deputies say that’s when a light colored Honda Civic pulled up to the car wash just as Patrick’s work detail was about to end. The car pulled up, Patrick ran, jumped into the car and it sped away.

Deputies say Patrick was originally in jail for “Theft By Taking,” which is a felony, “Probation Violation Superior Court” and Bond Surrender charges.

A warrant for an “Escape Before Conviction” charge is being issued for Patrick.

Deputies say he is 6 feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a neon green shirt, a denim jacket and white pants a blue stripe running down the sides of each leg.
