Dry weather lasts through the weekend, rain chances amp up next week

MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – The heat and dry weather Middle Georgia has experienced this week will likely continue through the weekend, but the pattern will change next week bringing a better chance for rain.

Friday will feature more sunshine which will lead to temperatures soaring from the 60’s throughout the morning to the 90’s in the afternoon.

Dry weather sticks around for the opening weekend of the Georgia National Fair.

Only a stray shower or two is possible across all of Middle Georgia Saturday and Sunday.

The high pressure system that has been creating summer-like conditions across the southeast this week will be breaking down early next week. More moisture will flow over the Deep South.

As a result, Middle Georgia will see more clouds in the sky which will keep temperatures down from the 90’s. Rain chances will also increase as the week progresses.
