Macon man sentenced to 40 years in deadly drug deal

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 20-year-old Qontavis Bryant will serve close to 30 years in prison after admitting to shooting and killing 36-year-old Ralfeale Lowe over $400 worth of marijuana.

Bryant admitted to bragging about the 2016 shooting and robbery during the investigation. Investigators also found out that Bryant was Lowe’s last call.  Bryant told a judge Monday that two ounces was involved in the transaction.

19-year-old Brandon Mcallister will spend 15 years in prison for the role he played in the crime. He pleaded guilty in 2017 to aggravated assault and was sentenced to a total of 20 years.

Bryant was sentenced to a total of 40 years after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter, and armed robbery. He will serve 28 in prison.
