42 people seeking elected positions in Macon-Bibb County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Twenty-nine people have qualified to run for an elected position in Macon-Bibb County in May.

Georgia’s Secretary of State website shows Mike Smallwood qualified for Bibb Sheriff as a democrat and Tina Dennard qualified for the Bibb Board of Education District 2 seat. Both qualified Wednesday.

Qualifying continues until noon Friday. Election Day is May 24.
