Man arrested for stealing $10,000 in equipment from Macon shop

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is in jail after police say he stole $10,000 in equipment from a maintenance shop on Monday.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it arrested 40-year-old David James Hartley stole a trailer from the Lake Wildwood Maintenance Area. Hartley made off with the trailer which had a lawn mower, two chain saws, two generators and a chain grinder inside, according to investigators.

He’s being held at the Bibb County jail on one count of burglary, theft by taking, and a probation violation.
