Lynmore Estates Clean up Event has more than 100 volunteers
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Volunteers from across Middle Georgia cleaned up the Lynmore Estates Neighborhood Saturday morning
Volunteers picked up trash, painted curbs with house numbers to help first responders in emergency situations find the house, and volunteers helped with the building of a house.
Macon-Bibb Animal Control and Animal Welfare picked up stray dogs and gave dogs baths.
Sundra Woodford, Community Relations Manager, Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, said clean up day is important to let the Lynmore Estates Neighborhood know their community cares.
“And we’re willing to work with you as you rebuild and transform your neighborhood back into the neighborhood that you can raise families in,” Woodford said.
She said there were more than 100 volunteers at the clean up event.
