“It’s a wonderful feeling to be here and this community. We are apart of the fabricate in this community and we want it to be that way. That’s our motto. We believe in that. For us to be able to open today and unveil this great facility in the middle of this great neighborhood, is a wonderful thing for us. i think that it allows us to serve and protect the citizens,” says Riggins.
The facility replaced the breezy hill fire station on Forsyth street and the sheriff’s precinct.
The estimated cost to build the new fire station was more than two million dollars that was voted and approved through the special purpose local option sales tax.
