2 men critically injured in motorcycle crash on Vineville Avenue in Macon

Deputies are investigating the collision, which happened on Brookdale Avenue near its intersection with Vineville Avenue.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men are in critical condition after a motorcycle collided with an SUV Monday morning on Vineville Avenue in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision happened on Vineville Avenue near the intersection of Brookdale Avenue and was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 9:06 a.m.

According to the sheriff’s office, a driver in a Honda SUV was turning left onto Brookdale Avenue from Vineville Avenue. A motorcycle traveling in the wrong direction on Vineville Avenue then collided with the SUV.

Two men were on the motorcycle. Both the driver and passenger were taken by ambulance to a local medical facility and are listed in critical condition.

Their names have not been released. The sheriff’s office said their identities will be released after their next of kin have been notified.

The collision remains under investigation.
