WRPD: 14-year-old dead, 15-year-old hospitalized after Saturday night shooting

A 14-year-old boy is dead and a 15-year-old was injured following a shooting involving a group of teens Saturday night.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 14-year-old boy is dead and a 15-year-old was injured following a shooting involving a group of teens Saturday night.

The Warner Robins Police Department (WRPD) says another juvenile was taken into custody.

Officers say they responded to 123 Margie Drive around 9 p.m. and heard shots being fired. That led to a foot chase. The suspect was taken into custody, and a firearm was recovered.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at Houston Healthcare. The 15-year-old was grazed by a bullet on his back left shoulder and received medical treatment.

Police say the shooting happened after a fight.
