13 indicted in massive RICO case tied to prison-based crime network in Macon
District Attorney Anita Howard and Bibb County Sheriff David Davis announced that a grand jury has returned a 21-count indictment against 13 individuals accused of operating under Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A racketeering indictment in Bibb County is shedding light on what prosecutors call a highly organized and dangerous criminal enterprise allegedly run from inside a Georgia prison.
At the center of the case is Keith Beddingfield Jr., also known by several aliases including “Gotti,” who is currently incarcerated within the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Prosecutors allege Beddingfield orchestrated a wide-ranging criminal network spanning Bibb County and multiple state prisons between April 2018 and January 2026 all while behind bars.
“This indictment is about protecting every member of our community,” Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney Anita Howard said. “We will not allow anyone to operate a criminal enterprise unchecked, whether they are on our streets or inside our prisons.”
According to investigators, Beddingfield allegedly used contraband cellphones to communicate with associates, direct criminal activity, and manage operations in real time. Authorities say the network carried out a range of crimes including murder, armed robbery, drug trafficking, and witness intimidation.
Bibb County Sheriff David Davis described the case as a stark example of how far-reaching criminal activity can be.
“This case is a chilling example of the reach of a sinister criminal mastermind,” Sheriff Davis said. “The fact that this could be orchestrated from behind bars shows law enforcement must remain vigilant at all levels.”
Investigators say the organization operated with structure and discipline, allegedly modeled after notorious mob boss John Gotti.
Drugs including methamphetamine, ecstasy, and marijuana were smuggled into prisons by being thrown over fences and retrieved by inmates. Payments for drugs were made using digital platforms like Apple Pay, Cash App, and Chime. Threats of violence were used to control members and silence potential witnesses. Juveniles were allegedly recruited to assist in transporting drugs
The indictment also outlines multiple violent crimes tied to the alleged enterprise. Beddingfield and co-defendant Jacorey Williams are charged in the shooting death of India Davis. Investigators say Davis had been threatened for months prior to her killing. Beddingfield and several co-defendants are accused of following Patel to his home during an attempted armed robbery, where he was shot and killed. His wife and daughter were also allegedly assaulted during the incident.
The 21-count indictment includes serious charges such as RICO conspiracy, malice and felony murder, armed robbery and attempted murder, witness intimidation and evidence tampering, drug trafficking and money laundering, firearm violations and contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Authorities say the case also dates back to a 2018 attempted murder plot allegedly coordinated by Beddingfield using a contraband phone while housed at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
The people indicted are: Keith Beddingfield Jr., Jacorey Williams, Terrell Eugene Mills, Shaun Mills, Corey Tremaine Wallace, Donnie White, Adedreaqua Nporche Crawford, Alexandria Shanell Kendall, Oriental Chardonnea Wilson, Andre Miguel Diadell Jr., Melissa Ann Braxton, Carlos Angelo Sledge, Tishon Jacorey Wiley
