$10,000 reward being offered for information in the slaying of a Lyft driver

MABELTON, Georgia  (AP) – A total of $10,000 is being offered for information in the slaying of a Lyft driver who was married to a state prosecutor.

Authorities say Shahriar Zolfaghari was shot in the upper torso at a stoplight in Atlanta around 1 a.m. Wednesday. He was married to Camila Wright, an assistant attorney general who focuses on human trafficking cases.

Crime Stoppers has offered $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal on Friday issued an executive order offering $5,000 more.

Wright said Zolfaghari drove for the ride-hiring service at night so he could be at home during the day to care for their 1-year-old daughter. The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for their daughter’s care going forward.
