1 dead, 1 hospitalized after downtown Macon shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One man is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting early Sunday in downtown Macon.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at 486 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. just after 1:30.

A sheriff’s office release says it was reported that several shots were fired near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and Poplar Street.

Deputies found two male victims when they arrived on scene.

Danny Thomas Causey was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones. Terry Warren was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
