0-10 Windsor Knights looking to get into win column for 2014
“We’ve got a good nucleus of guys coming back,” Watts said about his upcoming team, “We got some guys wanting to run hard and hit hard and they’re enthusiastic about the season.”
The Knights will have six starters returning for an offense that only averaged around 10 points a game. Coach Watts will try to implement a dual quarterback system to add another weapon to an arsenal in need of a jolt, “Both of them have their qualities about them… [They] will be able to get in and [we’ll] do some different things with each of them.”
Windsor not only had trouble scoring, they had trouble keeping the other team off the board, as well. In order to win a game, the Knights will need to better the nearly 40 points a game allowed they gave up in 2013. Coach Watts knows it will be a challenge, but has returning players Josh Brooks, Jonathan Osborn, and safety Dylan Bass to hopefully ease the defensive burden.
Bethlehem Christian will be Windsor’s first opponent on August 22nd.
