Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy arrested and fired

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff David Davis fired Deputy Jeffery Brian Prestridge after an Internal Affairs investigation.

According to a news release, Prestridge choked, kicked and refused to let his girlfriend leave his house in October.

He’s charged with arrested aggravated assault, aggravated battery and false imprisonment.

The investigation also accused Prestridge of violating three Bibb County Sheriff’s Office policies; violation of rules, unbecoming conduct and conformance of laws.
