Youth Says History Month: A Black History Month event for the youth
Youth Says History Month is February 25, 2024 at Bloomfield Recreation Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Jalen Aliyu is an actor, a chef, host, model and published journalist; and he is only 14-years-old.
Jalen is also the Macon teen behind the YouTube channel, Jalen Says.
The young journalist uses his platform to interview everyone from politicians to musical artists. Jalen’s goal is to spread positivity and introduce you to someone new.
His newest accomplishment is happening February 25, 2024 during Black History Month.
It’s a free community event called, Youth Says History Month.
Jalen says the event will showcase local children giving speeches of leaders from our present and past, African fashion wear.
There will also be a step show, skits, dancing and more.
Jalen says, DaGreat David of BARBERS ON DUTY will provide free haircuts and Avery Brown of BEATS BY AVERY will share his incredible journey as a teen who’s a musical producer.
All children are welcome to come to the event.
