WRPD: Perry man under influence of drugs, causes fatal car crash

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic accident that happened Wednesday morning at the intersection Russell Parkway and Burns Drive.

Officers say 22-year-old Emalee Formica of Warner Robins was turning left from Burns Drive onto Russell Parkway when 34-year-old Jason Pitzer ran through the red light at the intersection and crashed into Formica’s vehicle.

Formica was sent to the hospital with serious injuries where she later died. A passenger in Formica’s car was also sent to the hospital. She is listed in critical condition.

Pitzer is charged with vehicle homicide, failure to obey a traffic control device, driving under the influence of drugs, serious injury by a motor vehicle, and reckless driving.
